Memories Reimagined
Sumi ink, rice paper on canvas. 48”x48”.
This lively ink on paper is a remarkable shift in my otherwise more traditional approach to painting. The work is painted with black sumi ink over hand dyed rice paper. The black inked lines denote mountain ranges encapsulating two mighty waterfalls. Zoom in closer to see details of small harbors, vineyards and tiny European beach towns.
